Hallmarks Magazine is Lauralton Hall’s magazine that comes out a few times a year commemorating alumna who are excelling, bringing current students into the spotlight who have outdone themselves, and bringing forth all Lauralton has done since the last issue came out as sort of a “news blast”. This past issue holds a special place in my heart for multiple reasons.
-Poppy’s name is in it. He passed away almost a year ago (March 2, 2013) and we miss him terribly. It was touching to see his name next to my sister and mine-he was so proud of us for attending such a renowned school and unfortunately was unable to see my sister graduate. However, I know looking down upon us he is so proud of all we have accomplished and he knows she is now at school with me.
-I’m in it! It was awesome to receive the opportunity to talk about how much Lauralton helped me become the woman I am today and share that with the community.
-Sister Janice is remembered! Sister Janice lit up the halls with the cutest smile and was so touched by the entire community. It’s incredible to see how many people were positively impacted by her…we miss you Sister Janice!
-Jaci is in it! She was captured throwing her cap in the air at graduation-Jac can you believe you almost graduated a year ago?! Time flies!
